SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2017: The exam pattern of SSC MTS provides details of marking scheme, number of sections, time duration, section-wise distribution of marks and mode of exam. The SSC MTS exam pattern 2017 is defined by examination authority. The SSC MTS 2017 consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 will be conducted in Computer Based mode while Paper 2 will be held in offline mode. The SSC MTS 2017 Paper 1 exam will be conducted in the month of September/October 2017. The Paper 1 will be held in offline mode. All questions in SSC MTS Paper 1 exam will be objective type. There will be four sections in this paper - General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. The duration of SSC MTS Paper 1 exam is 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The SSC MTS Paper 2 is scheduled to be conducted on December 17, 2017. The Paper 2 of SSC MTS is a descriptive test carrying 50 marks. Candidates in this paper will be given to write short essay/letter in english or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. This paper has been introduced by SSC to test elementary language skills of candidates. The Paper II of SSC MTS is qualifying in nature.
