The SSC MTS syllabus 2016 has been released by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The syllabus has some essential components such as section wise important topics, objectives of the curriculum, grading scheme and learning resources. The detailed SSC MTS syllabus 2016 is provided below on this page. The paper I exam of SSC MTS will comprise of four sections – general intelligence & reasoning, numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The syllabus of SSC MTS has been kept simple considering the nature and functions of the post. As per the syllabus, the general intelligence will carry questions of non-verbal type. The syllabus of english languages includes basic grammar and vocabulary. The numerical aptitude section syllabus contains topics of Class 10 level. The questions on general awareness section will be simple. Paper-II will be descriptive where candidates will be given to write short essay/letter. Questions will be designed to test he ability of the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him and its application to society Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects Questions will also include India and its neighbouring countries

Note: For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning / General Awareness Paper.

Paper -II of SSC MTS

  • The Paper-II of SSC MTS will be set in English and Hindi.
  • This paper is to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post.
  • Candidates will have to write short essay/letter in English and Hindi each.
  • Candidates can opt to write the essay/letter in any Indian Language.
