SSC MTS 2017: The re-examination for tier 1 of Multitasking (MTS) exam is being held from September 16 to October 31, 2017. The exam is held in online mode this time owing to the malpractices observed previously. The SSC MTS tier 1 exam consists four sections in the question paper, general intelligence & reasoning, numerical aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The exam will be conducted for two hours and the total marks for the exam is 150. Over 70 lakh candidates have registered for SSC MTS Tier 1 exam. SSC MTS 2017 answer key of Tier 1 will be released in November. SSC MTS result for tier 1 is expected to be declared in December. Based on the result of tier 1, qualified candidates will be shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. SSC MTS Tier 2 exam will be conducted on December 17, 2017. The result for tier 2 exam is expected to announced by last week of January 2018. The final appointment of candidates will be done on the basis on their performance in tier 1 and 2. SSC has issued admit cards for the Paper 1 exam of SSC MTS on September 5, 2017. The SSC MTS admit card 2017 was available online as per regions. Candidates can download admit card through the link provided on this page. To download and print admit card, candidates had to enter their online registration number and date of birth. The hard copy of SSC MTS admit card will not be sent to candidates by post. The link to download admit card will be provided on this page. The commission will issue admit card for ier 2 exam of SSC MTS in November 2017.
The exam pattern of SSC MTS provides details about the marking scheme, number of papers, total marks, time duration, subjects of exam etc. The SSC MTS Paper 1 and 2 exam will be conducted in offline mode. The Paper 1 exam of SSC MTS comprises of objective type paper and Paper 2 is descriptive test. The question paper of Paper 1 will be set in both English and Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. SSC MTS Paper II is qualifying in nature. The SSC MTS exam pattern of Paper 1 and 2 is given below.

The result of SSC MTS Tier 1 exam will be declared in November 2017. The SSC MTS result will be declared for all candidates who will appear in the Paper 1 exam. However, only those candidates who will secure qualifying marks fixed by the examination authority will be selected for Paper 2. The SSC MTS result will be released in a PDF file. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Paper 1 exam. The final result of SSC MTS will be declared in February/March 2018.
The cutoff of SSC MTS is the minimum qualifying marks required to qualify each stage of selection process. The SSC MTS cutoff 2017 will be declared along with the result. The exam conducting authority will decide the cutoff for each stage – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The SSC MTS cutoff 2017 will be decided based on factors such as total number of candidates appearing for the exam, total number of vacancies, difficulty level etc.
Applicants must have passed Matriculation Examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board. The age limit of the candidate should be 18-25 years as on 1.08.2017.
Online Application Process for SSC MTS 2017 exam has concluded. SSC MTS Application Form was available from December 31, 2016. The Application Fees for the exam was Rs 100 for General candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to ST/SC/Physically handicapped and Ex-Servicemen were exempted from payment of Application Fees. The Payment of Fee was accepted only through State Bank of India Challan generated online or through SBI NET Banking or Credit/Debit Card.
The candidates will have to appear for two paper-Paper-I and II under SSC MTS Selection Procedure 2017. Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will be of only qualifying in nature. Final Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Paper-I subjected to meeting the basic qualifying standards fixed for Paper-II.
