SSC MTS 2016: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Paper I exam of Multi-Tasking Staff from April 30, 2017. Around 70 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the exam. The SSC MTS 2016 Paper I exam will be conducted across 124 exam cities in offline mode. The admit card of SSC MTS 2016 recruitment for Paper I has been available from March 30. The Paper I exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. The commission will release the answer key for the candidates who will appear in the Paper I exam in July/August 2017. The answer key will help the candidates to check the correct answers of the questions asked in the exam. Candidates qualifying the paper I exam by securing the cutoff marks as per category will appear for Paper II. The result of Paper I exam of SSC Multi-Tasking Staff 2016 will be declared in August/September 2017 tentatively. The date and time of Paper II SSC MTS 2016 exam will be informed to the candidates through admit card. The paper II exam of SSC MTS recruitment is scheduled to be conducted on December 17, 2017. Based on Paper I marks, around 8300 candidates will be selected for the post of MTS (Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) post in various central government ministries / departments / offices in different States / Union Territories. Admit card has been issued to the successfully registered applicants only. The Commission has uploaded the e-admit card of the candidates on its website. The direct link to download the admit card has been provided on this page. Each candidate is required to bring the print out of their admit card on the day of the exam. The admit card mentions the important details viz. centre of the exam, date of the exam, reporting time at the exam centre etc. In case of any mistake in the admit card, candidates are required to bring it to the notice of the authorities at the earliest for necessary corrections.
As per the scheme of the SSC MTS examination, there shall be two papers viz. Paper – I and Paper – II. Paper- I will be entirely objective while Paper- II will be descriptive in nature. There will be four sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness in the Paper-1. While, the Paper – II will comprise of a Short Essay/Letter to be written in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Paper- II is simply qualifying in nature. It is intended to test the elementary language skills of the candidates to be suitable for the post. There is also negative marking in the exam. For wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

The Sample Papers of SSC MTS 2016 will be help the candidates to get an idea regarding the pattern of questions, number of questions asked in the exam, total marks per questions etc. Candidates after completing their Syllabus should solve the SSC MTS Sample Papers 2017 regularly to gain knowledge.
The answer key of Paper I exam will be released by SSC in online mode. The answer key for all sets and shifts will be made available for the candidates. To check the answer key, candidates in the login window will have to enter their user ID and password. Candidates can calculate their estimated score of the exam based on the number of correct and incorrect responses. Challenge against the answers in the answer key will have to be submitted online by loging in their respective account. Candidates will have to pay Rs 100 per answer online to register their challenges.
Staff Selection Commission usually announces the result within 2-3 months. The result of the written exam of SSC MTS 2016 shall be announced tentatively in April 2016. List of the successful candidates will be put on the official portal of the Commission. Such candidates will appear in the Paper-II which is descriptive in nature.
The Commission will decide the minimum qualifying marks in both the Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-II is of qualifying in nature Candidates shall be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT. Candidates shall be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their satisfying the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-II. The date and time for Paper-II shall be notified later on.

Applicants must have passed Matriculation Examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board. The age limit of the candidate should be 18-25 years as on 1.08.2017.
Online Application Process for SSC MTS 2016 exam has concluded. SSC MTS 2016 Application Form was available from December 31, 2016. The Application Fees for the exam was Rs 100 for General candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to ST/SC/Physically handicapped and Ex-Servicemen were exempted from payment of Application Fees. The Payment of Fee was accepted only through State Bank of India Challan generated online or through SBI NET Banking or Credit/Debit Card.
The candidates will have to appear for two paper-Paper-I and II under SSC MTS Selection Procedure 2016. Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will be of only qualifying in nature. Final Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Paper-I subjected to meeting the basic qualifying standards fixed for Paper-II.
