AIBE Application Form 2018 – The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the application form of All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XI. The AIBE application form 2018 was available online from September 1, 2017. Advocates registered with any State Bar Council were able to fill the AIBE 2018 application form until October 31, 2017. The AIBE application form 2018 could be filled in seven steps and included registration, selection of exam centre and language of question paper, upload scanned images, payment of application fee and printing of the completed application form. The application fee for the General and Other Backward Class (OBC) Category candidate was Rs. 3560 while the Schedule Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category applicants were required to pay Rs. 2560. The fee was payable via offline mode only i.e. through challan. Applicants should have submitted the AIBE application fee at State Bank of India (SBI) branch only. The test was held on December 3, 2017, and candidates qualifying the test will be issued Certificate of Practice. Step 1 – AIBE XI Registration: To start with the AIBE application process, advocates were first required to select their state, enter their number, then select the year of enrollment. After this, applicants are required to select on ‘I acknowledge that I am registered with my State Bar Council’ and then click on the ‘Accept’ button. On clicking, the AIBE registration form will appear on the screen and applicants are required to fill the following details -
Step 2 – Select AIBE Exam Centre: Applicants were able to select up to three cities according to their preferences. On the basis of their city preferences, AIBE exam centre was allotted.
Step 3 – Select language of AIBE question paper: Candidates can appear for AIBE XI in 11 different languages. Here, applicants are required to select the language in which they want to appear for AIBE 2018
Step 4 – Upload scanned images: Now applicants are required to scan their photograph, signature, self-attested enrollment certificate and photo ID. Candidates who are appearing under the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category are required to upload their category certificate and translated category certificate. These scanned images must meet the required specifications which are as follows -

Step 5 – Login: After successfully entering all the details and uploading the required details, candidates can submit the form. On successful registration, applicants will receive the AIBE XI registration number, password and OTP on their registered email ID and mobile number. Also, on successful registration, advocates will be directed to the AIBE Login page. With the provided credentials, applicants are required to log in and check the filled in registration details.
Step 6 – Payment of fee: The AIBE application fee can be paid only through challan. Candidates are required to download and print their Challan after logging in to their AIBE accounts. After downloading, candidates were required to visit the nearest SBI branch and pay the amount. The application fee for the General and Other Backward Class (OBC) category candidates was Rs. 3560 while the SC and ST category applicants were required to pay Rs. 2560 . Advocates were advised to make the payment after 24 hours of registration. After successfully paying the application fee, candidates were required to update their challan details.

The All India Bar Examination is an open book test where advocates registered under a State Bar Council can apply and appear for the test. AIBE 2018 was held in 11 different languages, which are Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. The test was held in a paper-based mode and there were a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Test takers were allotted 3 hours 30 minutes to complete the examination.
