AILET Counselling 2018 – National Law University (NLU), Delhi will be conducting AILET 2018 counselling rounds in the fourth week of May 2018. Along with the exam notification, complete AILET counselling 2018 schedule and other details will be available. After the conduct of the test, NLU Delhi will release the list of candidates for all the categories shortlisted for AILET counselling 2018 rounds. After the conclusion of AILET counselling, if seats remain vacant, then the university will conduct a spot counselling round. Last year, the AILET counselling fee was Rs. 50,000 and candidates were able to pay the same only through Demand Draft. No more admission rounds will be conducted after the conclusion of AILET spot counselling rounds. NLU Delhi will be conducting AILET 2018 on May 6, 2018, while the result will be announced within a month. The test will be held in a paper-based mode for admission to the 80 B.A. LL.B seats of the university. Candidates shortlisted for AILET counselling rounds are required to be present at the designated venue as per the prescribed dates along with the following self-attested documents -
The counselling process of AILET can be divided into the following stages -
Stage 1: Release of list of shortlisted candidates – First, NLU Delhi will release the ‘First Merit List of Selected Candidates’ i.e. list of candidates according to their category, shortlisted for AILET 2018 counselling rounds. The list will provide the candidate’s name, roll number, parent’s name, date of birth, gender and marks obtained.
Stage 2: Dispatch of AILET admission letter – NLU Delhi will be issuing admission letters to candidates shortlisted for the AILET counselling rounds.
Stage 3: Payment of AILET counselling fee – Candidates receiving the AILET admission letter are required to pay the counselling fee within the specified time-period. Failing to pay the AILET 2018 counselling fee will lead to cancellation of candidature. To pay the AILET counselling 2018 fee, shortlisted candidates are required to draw a Demand Draft of Rs. 50,000 in favour of ‘Registrar, National Law University, Delhi’ payable at Delhi. On successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered address of candidates.
Stage 4: Reporting at NLU Delhi – Test takers who have successfully submitted the application fee within the last date are required to visit NLU Delhi along with all the necessary documents to complete AILET 2018 admission process. Only after producing all the required documents and completing the formalities, candidates will be given admission. If a candidate is unable to produce any of the necessary documents, or fail to meet an AILET eligibility criteria 2018, then, he/she will not be considered for admission.
If seats remain vacant after the conclusion of AILET counselling round 2018, then spot counselling will be conducted to fill the vacant seats. The university will release a list of shortlisted candidates for the AILET spot counselling round. These candidates are required to pay the AILET counselling fee and then be present at the counselling venue with all the necessary documents to complete the admission process. The result will be announced on the spot.
Note: After the conclusion of AILET spot counselling rounds, no more admission rounds will be conducted.

All India Law Entrance Test is a paper-based exam conducted by NLU Delhi for admission to its BA LLB seats. AILET will include 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and test takers will be allotted 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the exam. The questions will be based on topics like - Legal Aptitude, English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning and Basic Mathematics. The university will release AILET result online in a pdf format which will contain the list of shortlisted candidates for AILET counselling rounds. If seats remain vacant after the conclusion of counselling rounds, then AILET spot counselling rounds will be conducted to fill the vacant seats.
