AILET Eligibility CriteriaAILET Eligibility Criteria 2018 – The BA LLB aspirants aiming for a seat in National Law University (NLU), Delhi must make sure they fulfill all the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2018 eligibility criteria before preparing and applying for the same. The AILET eligibility criteria 2018 are the minimum required norms that each candidate must fulfill to get admission to the law programmes of NLU Delhi. Candidates failing to meet any of the required NLU Delhi BA LLB eligibility criteria will be disqualified at any stage of admission. As per the AILET eligibility criteria 2018, aspirants must have at least 50% in their Class 12 or equivalent examination. Also, applicants who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying exams are also eligible to apply. Candidates must know that the eligibility norms will vary with the category of the candidates. AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018

NLU Delhi will be conducting AILET 2018 for admission to its BA LLB programmes. The AILET application form will be available online and aspirants must make sure they fulfill all the eligibility criteria before applying. To know more about AILET eligibility criteria 2018, check the table below

Age As per the order of the Honourable Supreme Court of India, the age limit has been removed
Qualifying Exam Class 12 (SSC) or equivalent examination; Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying exams can also apply
Minimum qualifying marks 50%
Educational pattern 10 + 2

The Foreign nationals applying for AILET 2018 will be allotted seat on the basis of merit. They must score at least 65% in their qualifying exam.

AILET reservation policy

NLU Delhi strictly follows the norms of the Government of India regarding the reservation of seats. The aspirants applying under the reserved categories are must make sure they fulfill the AILET eligibility criteria 2018. Also, these candidates are required to produce the required documents to support their reservation at the time of admission. Know more about the AILET reservation policy form the table below

Q. I will be appearing for my Class 12 board exam this year. Do I fulfill the AILET eligibility criteria 2018?

Ans. Aspirants who are appearing for the Class 12 board exams in March or April 2018 are eligible to apply. However, such candidate must produce the proof that they have passed the qualifying at the time of admission.

Q. How much should I score in AILET 2018 to be eligible for the admission rounds?

Ans. The minimum percentage required to be obtained in AILET 2018 will vary according to the category of candidates, such as -

  • General category candidates must score at least 40%
  • SC or ST category candidates must obtain a minimum 30%

About AILET 2018

NLU Delhi conducts AILET for admission to the 80 B.A. LL.B seats of the university. Out of these 80 seats, 10 are reserved for the Foreign national candidates. The test will be held a paper-based mode. There will be 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers in AILET. To complete the test, candidates will be allotted 1 hour 30 minutes. The questions will be divided into five sections - English, General Knowledge, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude. On the day of the test, applicants must reach the examination centre as per the prescribed time along with the required documents such as AILET admit card and a photo ID proof. Aspirants must avoid carrying an electronic device such as mobile phone, pager, laptop, tablets, etc. to the examination hall. The result will be available online and candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds on the basis of their performance in the test.
