With the help of the AILET 2017 exam pattern, the candidates will be familiar with the structure of the question booklet. Also, the AILET test pattern helps the candidates to understand the weightage distribution and the sections of the question booklet. The entrance test will be conducted by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi, in an offline mode for admission into the B.A. LL.B programmes. The question booklet will contain 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and the candidates will be provided 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) to complete the test. Details on AILET Exam Pattern 2017

The law aspirants are advised to go through the AILET Exam Pattern 2017 properly. The test will be held in offline mode with 150 MCQs and the total score is 150 only. Check the table below for complete details on the AILET 2017 Pattern.

Important points regarding the exam pattern of AILET 2017

Some important points regarding the test pattern of AILET 2017 are –

  • Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Questions with more than one answer will be considered invalid.
  • Except for the Elementary/Basic Mathematics section, all the sections will contain 35 questions each.
  • The duration of the test is 90 minutes i.e. 1 hour 30 minutes.

AILET Syllabus 2017 -wise Questions

There is no definite syllabus for All India Law Entrance Test, therefore, the candidates can prepare for the test according to the test pattern. Also, the candidates can check the previous year question papers and sample or practice papers to know more about the syllabus. As mentioned above, there are 5 sections in the exam, therefore, the candidates can check the section-wise syllabus below

  • English – In this section, the questions will be based on Synonyms, Antonyms, Choosing the correct word, Idioms and phrases, Jumble words and sentences, fill in the blanks and Comprehension passages.

  • General Knowledge – For this section, the candidates must be aware of the topics and facts about History, Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and Current Affairs.

  • Basic Mathematics – To prepare for this section, the candidates are required to brush up the topics on Profit and loss, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, Permutation and Combination, Venn Diagrams and Basics from Class 10th and 12th level mathematics.

  • Legal Aptitude – Here, the candidates will be facing questions that will check the candidates in the study of law, research aptitude and solving issues. The questions will be mostly on legal propositions.

  • Reasoning – The logical and analytical reasoning skills will be put to test in this section.

To prepare for AILET 2017, the candidates are advised to practice the AILET sample papers and previous year question papers as much as they can. With regular practice, the candidates will gain momentum and confidence over the questions. Also, the candidates will be more familiar with the format of the question paper and weightage and difficulty level of the sections.
