As mentioned above, BHU will be releasing the BLAT application form 2018 in February 2018. BLAT eligibility criteria 2018

As per the BLAT eligibility criteria 2018, applicants must have at least 50% in their Class 12 board or equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination can also apply for the test.

BLAT application fee

To submit the BLAT application form 2018, candidates are required to pay the fee (online or offline). The application fee amount will be announced along with the BLAT notification 2018. Candidates must note that the application fee will be vary with the category of candidates. Last year, BLAT application fee was Rs. 500 for the General and Other Backward Class (OBC) category, and Rs. 250 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Physically Challenged (PC) category candidates. Aspirants applying for more than one programme are required to make an additional payment of Rs. 200 (SC/ST/PC: Rs. 100) per application.

To fill the online BLAT application form 2018, aspirants can follow the steps provided below

  1. Register for BLAT 2018
  2. Select BA LLB from the list of programmes
  3. Fill BLAT application form 2018

How to fill BLAT application form 2018?

Once applicants have checked all the eligibility norms and have collected the required documents they can start filling BLAT 2018 application form. Follow the steps given below to fill BLAT application form 2018 -

Step 1Filling of BLAT registration form: First, applicants are required to fill the registration form by entering the following details -

  • Email ID
  • Create a password
  • Enter mobile number
  • Candidate’s name
  • Provide date of birth
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Address

Now, click on the ‘Sign up’ button to submit the above details. A confirmation message will be appear on the screen after successful BLAT registration. Also, an activation link will be sent to the registered email ID and a confirmation code to the entered mobile number. Now, to conclude the BLAT registration process, applicants are required to click on the link and enter the confirmation code.

Step 2 - Select B.A. LL.B: After successfully registering for BLAT 2018, the application form will appear. Here, candidates are required to select name of the course they are applying.

After selecting the programme, eligibility criteria of BA LLB will appear on the screen. Applicants are required to check the eligibility norms and make sure that they fulfill all of them. Aspirants are required to click on the checkbox and then on ‘ Add Course’ which will lead to the next part of BLAT application form.

Step 3Fill BLAT application form: The various sections of BLAT application form and their status (complete or incomplete) will appear on the screen, which are -

Application details – To start with BLAT application form, aspirants are required to enter the following details:

  • Guardian’s name (if any)
  • Select gender
  • Category

  • Monthly income of family

Step 4 - Selection of test centre: In BLAT application form, candidates are required to select five test centres according to their preference. On the basis of candidate’s preference, a BLAT exam centre will be allotted.

Step 5 - Photograph and signature upload: Applicants are required to upload their recent coloured passport size photograph and signature. However, candidates must make sure that the images meet the following specifications provided in the table below -

photographStep 6 – Preview and confirm: This step will allow candidates to view all the entered details. In case of any discrepancy in the details, candidates can click on ‘Back’ button and make the necessary corrections. Else, they can click on ‘Confirm and Submit’ to move to the payment section of BLAT application form 2018.

Step 7 – Payment of BLAT application fee: Candidates can pay the BLAT 2018 application fee online as well as offline. Only after paying the fee, candidates will be able to print their filled BLAT application form.

paymentOnline Payment: To start with the online payment of BLAT application fee, aspirants are required to click on ‘Continue for Online Payment’ and then opt for the following payment options -

  • Net Banking
  • Credit card
  • Debit card

Before applicants start with the payment process, a confirmation message will appear regarding the entered details. If all the provided application details are free from any error, then they can click on ‘Pay Now & Submit Application’ to make the payment and complete the application process, else click on ‘Cancel’ button.

Offline Payment: To pay the BLAT application fee offline, applicants must click on ‘Cash Payment through HDFC Bank’ button. Now, aspirants will be directed to the challan generation window where they are required to click on ‘Generate and Print Challan’. After printing the challan, aspirants are required to visit the nearest HDFC branch and submit the fee along with the challan. One part of the challan will be returned to the candidate by the bank officials after accepting the fee.

About BLAT 2018

BHU law admission test is a law entrance test conducted for admission to the 60 BA LLB seats of the university. The duration of BLAT is 2 hours and it includes 150 Multiple Choice Question. Each correct answer will carry 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. The questions will be based on topics like Mental Ability, Legal Aptitude, General Awareness and Current Affairs and English Comprehension. Within a month after the conduct of the test, BHU will announce the result which will provide candidate’s qualifying status and rank. Based on the candidate’s ranks, they will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in the counselling rounds to complete the admission process.
