The BLAT 2017 eligibility criteria are the minimum eligibility requirements that the candidates must have in order to appear for the test and take admission. If the candidates fail to meet any of the BHU Law Admission Test (BLAT) 2017 eligibility criteria, then their candidature will be cancelled. The application process has commenced and the law aspirants with a minimum 50% in their Senior Secondary School (10 + 2), can start with the application process. The end date to apply for the test is March 04, 2017. The University will be conducting BLAT in an offline mode for admission into the B.A. LL.B programmes. Details about the BLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017

The BLAT 2017 eligibility norms are the required criteria that the candidates must have to be eligible for admission into the BA LLB programme of BHU. If the candidates fail to meet any of the eligibility norms of the test, then their candidature will be cancelled. Also, it must be noted that the candidates applying under the reserved category must produce the required documents to support their reservation.

Academic Qualification

To avoid cancellation of the candidature in the later admission rounds, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria of BLAT 2017. Also, it must be noted that the application fee is non-refundable. The BLAT eligibility criteria 2017 are as follows –

  • The candidates must have passed their Class 10 + 2 Senior Secondary School or equivalent (11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized University or a Board recognized by the Union or State Government of India.
  • In the qualifying exam, the candidates must have a minimum score of 50% of total marks (OBC: 45%, SC & ST: 40%).
  • The candidates appearing

in the qualifying exam are also eligible.

Note: The candidates passing their 10+2 from an open University without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies will be considered ineligible for the test.

Age Limit

There is no age limit to apply for BLAT 2017. Thus, the candidates who have passed the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for BHU BA LLB admission test.

The Banaras Hindu University strictly follows the norms of the Bar Council of India when it comes to the eligibility criteria.
