BLAT result 2018 – Tie-breaking method

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in BLAT 2018, then the following procedures will be used in the following order to break it -

  • Procedure 1: Aggregate score in the qualifying test will be compared and candidate with the highest score will be given preference
  • Procedure 2: Test taker’s age will be considered i.e. the older one will be shortlisted

What after BLAT result 2018?

The BLAT scorecard is an important document and candidates must keep it safe until the conclusion of the admission rounds. Based on candidate’s BLAT result, they will be shortlisted for the further admission rounds. Test takers who have obtained the minimum BLAT cutoff scores will receive the call letter for the counselling rounds. BLAT result 2018 - FAQs

Q. Will I receive any notification regarding the availability of BLAT result 2018?

Ans. Banaras Hindu University will send an email and SMS to the registered email ID and phone number of the candidates. Both the mail and SMS will contain candidate’s score, overall merit and category-wise merit.

Q. How will BHU prepare BLAT result 2018?

Ans. The question booklet will contain 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).Every correct answer will be awarded 3 marks while for each wrong attempt, 1 mark will be deducted. There is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions.

About BLAT 2018

Every year, BHU conducts BLAT in a paper-based mode for admission to its 60 BA LLB seats. The duration of the test is 2 hours and there will be 150 MCQs. To apply for the entrance test, candidates must have at least 50% in their Class 12 board or equivalent examination. Within a month after the conduct of the test, the result will be announced and based on candidate’s scores, they will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. The shortlisted candidates are required to visit the designated centres, date and time. Only the test takers who have visited the counselling venues and submitted the required documents will be given admission.
