CLAT Seat Allotment 2017CLAT Seat Allotment 2017 – The University-wise CLAT 2017 seat allotment list is available now. The earlier seat allotment lists were being scrapped due to some discrepancies. The list for CLAT 2017 seat allotment is being prepared on basis of candidate's merit and preference. The shortlisted candidates can start with the counselling rounds by paying the fee and exercising the options. Through the seat allotment process, the candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. A total of three seat allotment list will be prepared and the candidates paying the fees can either book a seat in one of the NLUs. For the counselling rounds, candidates are required to be present physically at the NLUs along with the required documents. Only after paying the counselling fee, candidates will be able to book the seats as prescribed. The test was held on May 14 and the counselling rounds commenced from June 05. Steps for CLAT Seat Allotment 2017

The candidates are advised to check the instructions for seat allotment for CLAT 2017 below –

  • The candidates can log in to their respective CLAT accounts to check their CLAT 2017 seat allotment.
  • The seat allotment is done on the basis of the candidate’s preferences and merit or rank.
  • The shortlisted candidates are required to pay the requisite fee.
  • The next seat allotment list will be generated by the counselling committee after submission of fee.
  • On allotment of seats, the candidates can either accept the seat or raise the existing ones for the next allotment rounds.
  • The candidates are required to pay the fee and submit their original documents to the respective NLUs and complete the admission processes.
  • If a candidate is allotted a seat from the vacant seats from the previous rounds of CLAT 2017 seat allotment, then they are required to pay the prescribed counselling fee.
  • Till the third round of counselling, the category-wise waitlist will be generated by the counselling committee.
  • The fourth round will be the last seat allotment round and no seats will be upgraded.

Note: The candidates who were on the waitlist and were not allotted any seat due to non-availability of vacant seats will be refunded the whole amount. The candidates, who have withdrawn themselves from the CLAT admission, will be refunded the fee after deduction of some amount.
