LSAT India Exam Pattern 2018

The test will be held offline for admission to the law programmes of more than 80 participating law schools in India. As per the LSAT India exam pattern, there will be around 100 MCQs divided into 4 sections. To complete each section, candidates will be provided 35 minutes and they are allowed to work only in the section currently being timed.   1. Reading Comprehension – In this section, the questions are designed to check the test takers’ reading ability. The comprehension passages provided here will be lengthy and complex, which is similar to the ones commonly encountered in law schools. There will be four reading passages and each passage will have around four to nine questions
  2. Analytical Reasoning – A set of statements and rules will be will be provided here and candidates are required to understand the relationships and draw logical conclusions. The questions will be checking the test taker’s complex analytical skills required for solving legal problems
  3. Logical Reasoning – This section will include short passages, and test takers are required carefully analyse and evaluate the answers. To answer the MCQs, candidates are required to draw well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, identifying flaws in arguments, applying rules and learn how additional evidence impacts an argument.

About LSAT India 2018

On behalf of USA-based Law School Admission Council (LSAC), Pearson VUE conducts LSAT India for admission to the law programmes of more than 80 law schools. The LSAT India eligibility criteria 2018 and the reservation norms will vary with the participating institutes. The test will be held offline in 20 cities (approx.) across the country. Within two to three weeks after the conduct of the test, the result will be announced. The LSAT India result will provide details about the candidate and percentile rank. The test taker’s position compared to other candidates will be indicated by the LSAT India percentile. After the announcement of the result, each participating institute will shortlist candidates on the basis of their percentile rank and preferences.
