SET Law 2018 Symbiosis International University (SIU) will be conducting Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Law 2018 across 21 cities (approx.) in May 2018. SET law 2018 will be held in a pen-paper based mode for admission to 420 BBA LLB and 300 BA LLB seats of Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune, Noida and Hyderabad. To apply for Law SET 2018, aspirants belonging from the unreserved category must have at least 45% in their Class 12 board exams. It is expected that the online application process for SET law 2018 exam will start from the last week of December 2017. To conclude the application process, candidates are required to pay the SET law 2018 application fee via offline as well as online mode. SET law exam will include 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and candidates will be allotted 150 minutes to complete the test. The result for SET law will be announced in the third week of May 2018. The various affiliated law schools will release their cutoff scores after the announcement of the result on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. Law aspirants preparing for SET law 2018 must make sure that they are familiar with the eligibility criteria of the test. The SET law eligibility criteria 2018 are the minimum required norms that every applicant must have applied for the test. General or Other Backward Class (OBC) category candidates must have passed their Class 12 board exams with at least 45% while applicants applying under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe must have a minimum of 40% are eligible to apply for SET law 2018. Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
SIU will release the application form of SET law 2018 online in the last week of December 2017. Last year, the SET law application fee was Rs. 1500 and it can be paid in online (credit card and net banking) as well as offline (challan) mode. SET law 2018 will be held in 21 cities (approx.) across numerous exam centres. While filling the application form, candidates can select one SET law exam city from the provided available. As per the candidates city preference provided in the application form, a SET law exam centre will be allotted. On the day of the exam, test takers must make sure that they reach the centre according to the prescribed time along with their admit card and a valid email ID. Candidates must note that the conducting body reserves the right to change or allot another test city other than the one selected in the application form.
The admit card for SET law will be available online for candidates who have successfully applied for the test. SET law admit card is an important document which will provide details about the candidate, exam timings and address of the examination centre. Test takers are required to paste a recent passport size photograph at the space provided on the admit card. On the day of the test, aspirants must make sure that they carry the SET law 2018 admit card to the examination centre. Also, even after the conduct of the test, candidates must make sure that they keep the admit card safe for the further admission rounds.
SET law 2018 will be held in the paper-based mode and include 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The test takers will be allotted 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the test. As per the SET law exam pattern, the MCQs will be divided into five sections - Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and there is no negative marking in SET law 2018.

The conducting body wont be releasing any official SET law answer key after the conduct of the test. However, test takers can expect the coaching institutes to release the unofficial answer key before the announcement of the result.
SIU will be announcing the SET law result within a month after the conduct of the test. SET law result 2018 will be available in online mode. To check SET law 2018 result, test takers are required to enter their SET ID and password. The result of SET law will provide the candidates name, sectional score and total score based on which the candidates will be shortlisted for the further admission rounds. Test takers must keep the SET law 2018 scorecard safe until the conclusion of the admission rounds.
After the announcement of the result, the various affiliated law schools SLS Noida, Pune and Hyderabad will release their cutoff scores. The SET law cutoff scores are the minimum marks that each test takers must obtain to get shortlisted for the counselling rounds. After the announcement of the result, the scores obtained by candidates will be sent to SLS Hyderabad, Pune and Noida. Test takers obtaining the required cutoff scores will be shortlisted for further admission rounds. These shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (PI-WAT). Based on the candidates SET score and performance in PI-WAT, the final merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose names are in the merit list are required to visit the allotted campus and complete the admission process. A total of three merit list will be prepared. However, if the seats remain vacant then a fourth merit list will be prepared.
The SET law scores will be accepted by three law schools, which are SLS Pune, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Noida. These three SET law participating institutes that offer 420 BBA LLB seats and 300 BA LLB seats in total. Candidates are required to apply separately for these institutes while applying for the test. As mentioned above, each institute will have their own cutoff scores and list of shortlisted candidates for admission to their BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes.
