NEET 2018 NEET 2018 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct NEET UG entrance examination for admission to 90,000 MBBS and BDS courses offered by the government as well as private medical and dental colleges of India. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2018 is expected to be conducted on May 10. Through CBSE NEET UG, around 3705 aspirants were granted admission under 15% All India Quota seats, while the remaining 85% state quota seats will be allotted on the basis of scores obtained in the national entrance examination. The application form of NEET 2018 will be available in December 2017. According to NEET eligibility criteria, aspirants must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from CBSE/state board. NEET UG admit card 2018 can be downloaded by candidates whose application form will be accepted successfully. NEET 2018 to be held in offline mode and candidates qualifying the exam will be eligible for admission process. The result of NEET 2018 is expected to be announced in June. NEET counselling for All India Quota seats is organised by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) in July. The respective state governments will conduct common centralised counselling for remaining 85% state quota seats. Last year, a total of 11,38,890 registrations were received by NEET, of which only 10,90,085 candidates appeared for the entrance test. NEET 2018 Application Form

The application form of NEET 2018 is likely to begin from last week of December 2017. NEET application form procedure includes five stages registration, filling of the application fee, uploading of images, payment of application fee and confirmation slip. NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

As mentioned earlier, applicants planning to apply for NEET must have passed class 12 with the prescribed minimum qualifying marks. Candidates can check NEET UG eligibility criteria below.

  • Nationality: Applicant must be a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • Age Limit: Aspirant should be of 17 years old or likely to complete on or before December 31, 2018. There is no upper age limit.
  • Academic Qualification: Candidate must have qualified class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology from CBSE/any state board or any equivalent examination from a recognised university.
  • Marks Obtained: General category candidates must secure 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, while SC/ST/OBC students should secure 40%. The person with locomotor disability of lower limbs from general and reserved category must secure 45% and 40% respectively.
  • Number of attempts: Candidates can appear 3 times for NEET, Aspirants who appeared for NEET 2017 was their first attempt.

NEET 2018 Exam Centres

The exam centres of NEET 2018 are the list of centres in various cities where the examination will be held. In the year 2017, the entrance test was held in 1921 NEET exam centres. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to select a city and centre. The selection of NEET exam centres 2018 will be allotted on first come first serve basis. The allocation of NEET 2018 exam centres will be on the basis of availability of seats in the selected city.


NEET 2018 Admit Card

NEET admit card 2018 is expected to be available in April. Only those aspirants whose application form will be accepted can download the admit card of NEET 2018. To download NEET admit card, applicants have to enter their registration number, date of birth and security pin. NEET 2018 admit card includes the name of candidate, date and time, address of exam centre and other relevant information. Students must verify the details mentioned in NEET admit card before downloading it. A printout must be taken by candidates and a passport size photo must be affixed on admit card. NEET 2018 admit card must be carried at the exam centre for identity verification purpose.


NEET 2018 Exam Day Guidelines

All the aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below at the exam centre:

  • Reporting at centre: Applicants are advised to report at the centre as per the schedule of NEET 2018. The entry will begin from 7:30 am and the last entry will be allowed till 9:30 am.
  • Dress Code: As per the guidelines, candidates who will be appearing for NEET 2018 must wear half sleeves top/shirt. The clothes should be light in color. Only candidates wearing chappals and sandal will be allowed to appear for entrance test. All female applicants are not allowed to wear any ornament like bracelets, necklace or any metallic accessory.
  • Things to carry during NEET 2018: Aspirants must carry NEET admit card along with original Aadhaar card, one postcard and passport size photograph as per the specifications.
  • Things restricted in NEET 2018: Candidates cannot carry stationery items, communication devices, ornaments, watches, eatables, or any metallic item which can be used as unfair means are prohibited in the exam centre.

NEET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of NEET 2018 defines the structure of the entrance test. NEET question paper consists of 180 objective type questions. The maximum time allotted to complete the test is three hours (3 hours). Candidates can check complete NEET exam pattern from the table below.

NEET 2018 Syllabus

NEET syllabus 2018 is based on the topics of class 11 and 12. The questions in NEET 2018 syllabus will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany+Zoology). The exam includes 180 questions and with each section containing 45 questions. NEET syllabus is recommended by the Medical Council of India (MCI) after reviewing the syllabus of various state boards, CBSE, Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).

NEET 2018 Answer Key

CBSE will release NEET answer key in June 2018. NEET 2018 answer key includes solutions to the questions asked in the entrance test. The authority will publish NEET answer key for all codes of question booklet in English, Hindi and other 8 regional languages. The answers mentioned in the answer key of NEET 2018 can be challenged by the aspirants. To challenge NEET answer key 2018, aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below.

NEET 2018 Result

CBSE will announce the result of NEET 2018 online in June. Applicants can download NEET result by entering their roll number and date of birth. NEET 2018 result will display the subject-wise and total marks obtained by the candidates, total percentile score, cutoff for 15% All India Quota seats, qualifying status and other relevant information of candidates. On the basis of NEET result, a merit list will be prepared.

NEET 2018 Cutoff

NEET cutoff can be categorised as qualifying cutoff and cutoff for admissions. NEET 2018 qualifying cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks secured by candidates to pass the exam. And, NEET cutoff for admissions is the minimum scores which are determined to grant admissions to all medical and dental colleges of India. NEET 2018 cutoff is based on various factors such as difficulty level of test, number of candidates appeared, marking scheme, number of seats available etc. While NEET cutoff for admission varies for different state. Aspirants can check the qualifying cutoff of NEET 2018 as prescribed for different categories from the table provided below. NEET 2018 Merit List

As per the marks secured in the entrance test, NEET merit list will be prepared for 15% All India Quota seats. The merit list of NEET 2018 will be published along with the result by CBSE. NEET UG rank list will display the rank and name of candidates who have qualified the test. NEET merit list 2018 will be equal to the number of seats available for MBBS and BDS courses under 15% All India Quota seats. CBSE will release two separate merit list for 15% All India Quota seats and 85% state quota seats. The state merit list will be handed over to the states for MBBS and BDS admissions. All India Rank (AIR) mentioned in NEET merit list is one of the factors, which will be considered for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats.


NEET 2018 Counselling

NEET counselling 2018 for 15% All India Quota seats will start from July. Candidates included in NEET merit list will be called for counselling process. Applicants will be required to register themselves and select the preferences of colleges and courses for admission to medical and dental colleges. Aspirants will be granted admission on the basis of merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and availability of seats. From all government medical and dental colleges, 15% are reserved for All India Quota seats, while 85% state quota seats will be filled through common counselling organised by respective state admission committee. From the previous year, MCC will conduct counselling for private/deemed and AFMC colleges. Through NEET counselling, 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats will be allotted to medical and dental colleges of India.


NEET 2018 Participating Institutes

The participating institutes are the list of colleges which grants admission to MBBS and BDS courses as per NEET scores. As per the directives of the Supreme Court of India, NEET is the only entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses across India. AIIMS PG 2018AIIMS PG 2018 – All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has conducted AIIMS PG 2018 for January session on November 12, 20 17. The result of AIIMS PG 2018 for January session has been published on November 18, 2017. AIIMS PG result has been announced for admission to 386 MD/MS and MDS seats. Candidates who have secure the minimum AIIMS PG cutoff percentile have qualified the entrance test. The qualifying percentile for all categories is 50. AIIMS PG 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are willing to appear for AIIMS PG 2018 must satisfy certain eligibility conditions set by the authority. Check some important AIIMS PG eligibility criteria which must be fulfilled by the candidates.

  • A candidate must possess MBBS degree for admission to MD/MS courses from a University recognised by Medical Council of India or state medical council
  • January Session For the January session, candidates must have completed 12 months mandatory rotating internship on or before January 30, 2018
  • July Session If candidates are applying for July session, they must have completed 12 months of mandatory rotatory internship on or before July 30, 2018
  • The general and OBC candidates must secure minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS, whereas, SC/ST candidates have to secure 50% marks aggregate in MBBS

AIIMS PG 2018 Application Form

Aspirants can fill AIIMS PG application form online only. It is important to fill and submit AIIMS PG application form within the last date to be eligible to appear for the test. The AIIMS PG 2018 application process includes - registration, qualification details, payment, choosing a city, uploading images and taking a print out of the completed AIIMS PG application form. The application fees can be paid only through online mode i.e. credit card, debit card and net banking. The AIIMS PG 2018 application fee for the General and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidate is Rs. 1000 while the applicants applying under Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) are required to pay Rs. 800. AIIMS PG 2018 Answer Key

The answer key of AIIMS PG 2018 were not released, as the entrance test was held in online mode. However, AIIMS PG answer key might be prepared by various coaching institutes on the memory of candidates. AIIMS PG answer key includes all answers to the questions asked in the entrance examination. AIIMS PG 2018 Result

The result of AIIMS PG 2018 has been announced on November 18, 2017. AIIMS PG result has been made available in PDF format in form of merit list. Two separate AIIMS PG 2018 result is prepared - rank and roll number wise list for the candidates who have qualified in the entrance test. The result has been declared only for candidates who secured the minimum qualifying marks. As per the qualifying criteria, candidates from all categories have to secure minimum of 50th percentile in the entrance exam.AIIMS PG result for July session will be declared on May 12, 2018.


AIIMS PG 2018 Merit List

The merit list of AIIMS PG 2018 has been published for the candidates who secured the minimum qualifying marks in online entrance exam. As per the percentile scores, AIIMS PG 2018 merit list has been prepared. AIIMS PG 2018 merit list for each category is 8 times the number of seats available. On the basis of rank in merit list, candidates will be called for counselling process.


AIIMS PG 2018 Cutoff

The cutoff of AIIMS PG 2018 is the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the authority, which must be secured by the candidates to qualify the exam. As per the brochure, candidates have to score minimum of 50 percentile to qualify in AIIMS PG 2018. As per the cutoff marks, AIIMS, New Delhi, will prepare a merit list. On the basis of cutoff, the percentile scores were calculated to prepare merit list.


AIIMS PG 2018 Reservation of seats

A total of 49.5% of Post-Graduate seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes (non-creamy layer) excluding sponsored/foreign national candidates. 03% reservations for orthopedic physically handicapped is available, for Indian Nationals.

AIIMS PG 2018 Counselling

The counselling of AIIMS PG 2018 will be conducted in three rounds including an open selection. The round 1 of AIIMS PG counselling will be held on December 07, 2017, onwards. In each category, the number of candidates called for counselling will be 8 times the number of seats. On the basis of merit rank, preferences of colleges & courses and availability of seats, the counselling will be done. In case of any absentee, the next candidate in merit list will be considered for admission. If the seats will be left vacant after round 1, the authority will prepare round 2 of AIIMS PG counselling on December 18, 2017.


AIIMS PG 2018 Seat Allotment

The seat allotment of AIIMS PG 2018 will be conducted offline by AIIMS, New Delhi. First round of AIIMS PG 2018 seat allotment January session will be held on December 7. As per the All India Rank, preferences of colleges & courses and availability of seats, aspirants are granted admission in postgraduate medical courses. In order to take care of absentees, the number of candidates called for seat allotment will be 8 times the number of seats available.


AIIMS PG 2018 Contract

  • Each junior resident will be on contract service period of three years
  • Original certificates of any candidate who confirms the seat will be retained for the academic session. The certificates will not be returned to the candidates before the completion of courses unless he/she deposits a sum of Rs. 3,00,000 (three lakhs only) once the seat has been confirmed
  • If any candidate joins the MD/MS/MDS & M.Ch./DM (direct 6 years) courses, decide to leave the course within 6 months of joining, he/she will be liable to pay Rs. 3,00,000 (three lakhs only) and a candidate who joins the PG courses and leaves after 6 months of joining are liable to pay a sum of Rs. 5,00,000 (five lakhs only) as compensation for losses incurred by the AIIMS due to such departure. The salary for the month in which his/her resignation form the PG seat becomes effective will also be forfeited

AIIMS MBBS 2018:All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts AIIMS MBBS online entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses. JIPMER MBBS 2018: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry conducts JIPMER MBBS for admission to Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

NEET PG 2018NEET PG 2018 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) will be conducting NEET PG for admission to around 35,000 MD/MS courses offered by medical colleges across India. NEET PG 2018 will be conducted online in a single session on January 7. The application form of NEET PG 2018 has been released on October 31, 2017. Aspirants who completed MBBS degree and one-year rotatory internship on or before the specified dates can apply for NEET PG. The last date for NEET PG online registration is November 27, 2017. NEET PG admit card will be available 4 to 5 days before the entrance examination. This year, the marking scheme has been announced by the authority under which every correct answer carries 4 marks, while for negative response 1 mark will be deducted. As NEET PG will be conducted in a single session, no equating method will be used for calculation of result. NEET PG cutoff will be used to shortlist the eligible aspirants for admission to postgraduate medical courses. General category candidates must secure 50 percentile to qualify the exam. Based on the cutoff of NEET PG 2018, the authority will publish the merit list for admission to 50% All India Quota seats. Moreover, state authorities will also use NEET PG cutoff for preparing state merit list for allotment of seats in medical government and private colleges. The cutoff will be released along with NEET PG result on or before January 31, 2018. Aspirants who will secure cutoff scores for All India Quota seats will be called for NEET PG counselling 2018 process for admission to around 6200 MD/MS seats. For remaining 50% state quota seats, the designated state admission committee will conduct the counselling session. Whats new in NEET PG 2018?

  • This year, aspirants applying for NEET PG must fill their Aadhaar card details.
  • However, applicants from the state of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, and Meghalaya who don’t have an Aadhaar card can provide the details of their Passport Number/PAN Number/Driving Licence/Voter ID.
  • NEET PG 2018 is to be held on a single day in one session.
  • This year, there shall be no equating of marks secured by the candidates

NEET PG 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for NEET PG 2018 must go through the eligibility conditions set by the authority. Check important NEET PG eligibility criteria 2018 which must be fulfilled by the candidates below.

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • A candidate must have passed MBBS degree and should also have provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC)
  • Candidates should have completed one-year mandatory rotating internship on or before March 31, 2018

Candidates who will not be eligible

  • The candidates who are completing their internship or likely to complete after March 31, 2018, will not be eligible to apply for NEET PG
  • Candidates who will not have permanent registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) will not be allowed to register.

NEET PG 2018 Application Form

NBE has released NEET PG application form 2018 online. This year, aspirants must fill their Aadhaar card details in the application form of NEET PG 2018. The candidates who don’t have an Aadhaar card must enrol for the same and enter the enrollment ID number while filling the application form. The NEET PG 2018 application form can be filled in the following steps -

  • Step 1: NEET PG 2018 registration by creating a profile and providing necessary details
  • Step 2: Filling the NEET PG application form with all the required details and documents
  • Step 3: Paying the online NEET PG application fee
  • Step 4: Selection of exam centres

NEET PG 2018 Exam Centres

The exam centres of NEET 2018 is the venue of examination in various cities where the online entrance examination will be held. NBE has finalised 128 NEET PG exam centres for conducting the entrance examination. Candidates have to choose the preferred NEET PG 2018 exam centres as per their convenience while filling the application form. The choice of NEET PG exam centres 2018 will be done on the basis of first come first serve basis. Along with it, candidates also have to select the day and slot of NEET PG 2018. NEET PG 2018 Admit Card

The candidates who will register before the last date will receive the admit card of NEET PG 2018, four to five days prior to NEET PG on their registered mail ID. The registered candidates can also download NEET PG admit card 2018 by logging in entering their username and password. Candidates have to paste their passport size photograph on the printed copy of NEET PG 2018 admit card. The admit card must be carried by candidates to the exam centre for verification purpose. Along with the admit card, candidates must carry any of the following valid Photo ID:

  • Passport
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving license
  • Aadhaar card

NEET PG 2018 Exam Pattern

The test will be held on a computer-based platform in a single session. A negative marking scheme has been introduced for the NEET PG 2018 session i.e. for each incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted. NEET PG 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus of NEET PG 2018 consist of all the subjects/knowledge areas studied in MBBS and BDS programme. NEET PG syllabus 2018 comprise of subjects as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India. NEET PG 2018 Answer Key

NBE does not publish NEET PG answer key, as the exam is conducted in online mode. As per the non-disclosure agreement mentioned above, no candidate can share any question by any means. NEET PG 2018 Result

The result of NEET PG 2018 will be announced by January 31, 2018, by NBE. NEET PG 2018 result will be announced only for the candidates who will secure minimum qualifying marks in online entrance examination. To download score card of NEET PG 2018, candidates must enter their testing ID, date of birth and captcha code in the required space. NEET PG result 2018 displays the names of candidates score obtained (out of 1200), rank, qualifying status etc.


NEET PG 2018 Cutoff

The cutoff of NEET PG 2018 is the minimum marks that a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. NEET PG 2018 cutoff depends on various factors such as number of candidates appeared for exam, availability of seats, the difficulty level of entrance test etc.

As per the officials, the candidates belonging to general category must secure minimum of 50th percentile to qualify the exam. Whereas, candidates from respective category and PH category must secure a minimum of 40th and 45th percentile, respectively.

Note: NEET PG 2017 cutoff, the conducting authority, NBE released revised minimum qualifying marks for admission to PG courses for candidates of all categories. As per the previous year brochure, if the number of candidates in the respective categories fail to secure the cutoff marks, the Central Government with consultation of Medical Council of India, will lower the cutoff marks.


NEET PG 2018 Merit List

The merit list of NEET PG 2018 will be published based on the scores of candidates in entrance exam. NBE will release four types of NEET PG merit list which includes the names of candidates called for counselling. The merit list will display rank of candidates, names, score, category etc. 


NEET PG 2018 Counselling

The counselling of NEET PG 2018 will begin from February, by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The counselling will be held in online mode for the candidates who will be selected under 50% All India quota seats. All the applicants who have qualified in NEET PG 2018 and listed in the merit list will have to register online for NEET PG counselling 2018. Such candidates also have to select their preferences of courses and colleges. As per the merit rank, preferences of colleges and courses and availability of seats, the final seat allotment result will be published. Once the seat allotment is done, the eligible candidates must report at their allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees.

The counselling for remaining 50% state quota seats will be conducted by designated admission committee of respective states. The eligible candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank in the merit list, choices filled and seats available. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to report to college for document verification, completion of admission process and payment of fees.


NEET PG 2018 Seat Allotment

The seat allotment of NEET PG 2018 will commence after the registration of counselling in February 2018. Once the candidates shortlisted for 50% All India Quota seats are registered, the MCC will begin NEET PG seat allotment. After the process of allotment, the result of NEET PG 2018 seat allotment will be announced. As per the All India Rank, preferences of colleges & courses and seat availability, the admission will be granted to aspirants. In case if there are any vacant seats left after round 1, the authority will organise the second round of NEET PG seat allotment. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to report at allotted institutes for verification of documents and completion of admission process.
