The application form was made available on February 5, 2018. AIIMS MBBS entrance test is scheduled to be held by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on May 26 and 27. Candidates who are seeking to pursue undergraduate medical programmes at AIIMS will be granted admission by clearing the entrance test. Applicants who will successfully submit the filled-in application forms and whose forms will also be succesfully accepted by the conducting authority, AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam will be administered in computer-based mode and will comprise 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The examination will cover questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. It is mandatory for applicants to acquire the minimum percentile to qualify the entrance test and stand eligible to participate in the counselling procedure. The normalisation procedure will be calculated to prepare the merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2018. On the basis of rank list, aspirants will be called for AIIMS MBBS counselling process. Selected aspirants will be offered one among 807 seats across 9 AIIMS institutes located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Guntur, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh to pursue MBBS degree. AIIMS MBBS 2018 Admit Card

The admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2018 has been released on May 10. Only those aspirants whose application forms have been accepted, can download AIIMS MBBS admit card. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their application ID and password. Students must verify significant details such as their name, roll number, address, photograph, signature, exam centre details etc. mentioned in the admit card. AIIMS MBBS 2018 Application Form

The application form of AIIMS MBBS 2018 was available from February 5 onwards. The last date to apply was March 12, 2018. AIIMS MBBS application procedure entails six stages that involves online registration, payment of application fee, choosing of test centre, entering academic qualifications and address details, uploading of images and taking a printout of the filled-in application form.

How to fill AIIMS MBBS 2018 Application Form?

  • Online Registration: The first step of AIIMS MBBS 2018 application process was to click on the "application form" link. Candidates were required to fill in all details as neccessary, including personal and contact details and mention at least 7 preferred AIIMS institutes. After this, they had to click on the "Register" button. Following this, candidate's ID and password were sent to their registered email ID and mobile number. The information page appears on screen showing all 6 steps. Students can either click on 'Edit' to make corrections or 'Proceed to Step 2'.
  • Payment of application fee: After entering all requisite details, aspirants had to pay AIIMS MBBS 2018 application fee as directed. For General/OBC category, the application fee was Rs. 1000 whereas for SC/ST applicants, the application fee was Rs. 800. The application had to be paid in the online mode only via Debit/Credit Card/Internet Banking. Examinees who are Orthopedic Physically Handicapped were exempted from paying the fee.
  • Choosing exam city: In this step, applicants had to select AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam centre as per their choice for appearing in the exam. They had to provide at least 3 exam cities in order of their preference that suit their convenience most. Out of these preferences, the conducting body will allot one centre to the candidate. Centres will be allocated on first come first serve basis.
  • Filling of application form: Aspirants had to furnish all the details related to their academic qualification and contact address. These details included the qualifying exam, status, name of board, class 12 roll number, name of state, marks obtained in class 10, percentage/CGPA, permanent address, country, state, city, pin code etc.
  • Uploading of images: Candidates had to upload their recent passport sized photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per specifications. Images once uploaded could not be changed, so candidates had to be careful. The size for photograph, signature and thumb impression was required to be between 50 to 100 KB and in .jpg format.
  • Printout of filled in application form: After all of the above steps were completed, applicants had to click on the 'final submit' button. They received an acknowledgement mail from AIIMS. A printout of AIIMS MBBS 2018 application form be taken by students and preserved carefully. It is advised that candidates verify all the details carefully before submitting and taking the printout including personal information, choice of test cities, qualification and address details.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

As mentioned above, aspirants must have qualified Std12 with minimum qualifying marks in respective subjects. Check the important AIIMS MBBS 2018 eligibility criteria mentioned below.

  • Academic qualification: Students should have passed Std 12 from senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board/university of any state with Physics, Chemistry and Biology  (PCB) as primary subjects.
  • Age: Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2018.
  • Minimum marks: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with minimum aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. General and OBC aspirants should have obtained 60% in the qualifying exam whereas, SC/ST/OPH students have to secure 50% in the same to appear in AIIMS MBBS 2018.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Centres

The exam centres of AIIMS MBBS 2018 are the venues where the national level entrance test is scheduled to be conducted by AIIMS. Around 155 cities will host the entrance test that will be held in the online mode only. While filling up the application form, examinees had to choose a city where they would like to take AIIMS MBBS 2018. The allocation of AIIMS MBBS exam centres 2018 will be done on first come first serve basis. AIIMS MBBS exam centres will be allotted on the basis of availability of seats in selected city.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Pattern

AIIMS MBBS 2018 is an online entrance exam, which will comprise 200 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQ) from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge/Aptitude. The total duration of the question papers is 3 hours and 30 minutes. For every correct answer, applicants will be rewarded 1 mark while for every incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted. AIIMS MBBS 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus of AIIMS MBBS 2018 consists of questions based on Std 11 and 12. The exam will carry questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB). The exam will also contain 20 questions from General Knowledge and Aptitude, therefore, applicants are advised to read newspapers on a daily basis.

The result of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be declared on June 18. AIIMS MBBS result will be released in the form of rank-wise list and roll number list in PDF format. It will display candidates' roll number, overall rank, category, subject-wise and total percentile. AIIMS MBBS 2018 result will be announced only for those candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying percentile in entrance exam.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Cutoff

AIIMS MBBS cutoff 2018 is the minimum marks that an applicant has to obtain to qualify the entrance test. As per the previous year information brochure, General category candidates had to secure 50% in AIIMS MBBS 2018 while candidates belonging to SC and ST categories needed to acquire at least 40%. As the exam will be conducted in two shifts, the cutoff will be determined on the basis of percentiles. The normalisation procedure will be followed to calculate the AIIMS MBBS result. AIIMS MBBS 2018 Merit List

AIIMS, New Delhi will publish the merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2018 along with the result on June 18. It will be prepared by the examination authority as per the candidates' scores in the entrance exam. AIIMS MBBS merit list will include All India Rank (AIR), roll number, category, subject-wise percentile and overall percentile. As per the rank in AIIMS MBBS 2018, eligible candidates will be called for counselling process.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Reservation of Seats

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Counselling

AIIMS, New Delhi will start offline AIIMS MBBS counselling 2018 from July 3. Candidates who qualify entrance test will be called for AIIMS MBBS counselling. The round 1 of counselling will begin from July 3 to 6. Candidates who will be listed in rank-wise and roll-number wise result have to download AIIMS MBBS 2018 counselling call letter. Eligible applicants have to report at prescribed counselling venue as per the specified schedule. Candidates will be allotted seats as per their merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and availability of seats. If the seats are left vacant after round 1, the second round of counselling will also be held in July. AIIMS MBBS counselling is the basis for admission to MBBS seats offered by AIIMS, New Delhi and other eight AIIMS institutes.
