AIIMS MBBS 2018: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is to conduct AIIMS MBBS entrance examination on May 26 and 27, for admission to undergraduate medical courses. The application form of AIIMS MBBS 2018 has been released on February 5. The last date for AIIMS MBBS online registrations 2018 has been extended till March 12, 2018. Only aspirants whose AIIMS MBBS 2018 application form has not been completed can submit it. Candidates whose application form will be accepted by authority can download AIIMS MBBS admit card 2018 from May 10. AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam is a computer-based test which consists of 200 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. Aspirants must secure the minimum percentile to qualify AIIMS MBBS 2018. The normalisation procedure will be calculated to prepare the merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2018. On the basis of rank list, aspirants will be called for AIIMS MBBS counselling process. Through AIIMS MBBS, 807 seats will be filled for admission to MBBS courses offered by 9 AIIMS institutes located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Guntur, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh. AIIMS MBBS exam centres are the venue for examination in around 155 cities where online test will be held. While filling the application form, candidates have to choose a city where they would like to take AIIMS MBBS 2018. The allocation of AIIMS MBBS exam centres 2018 will be done on first come first serve basis. AIIMS MBBS exam centres will be allotted on the basis of availability of seats in selected city.
The admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be available for download from May 10. Only those applicants whose application form will be accepted can download AIIMS MBBS admit card. To download the admit card, aspirants need to enter their application ID and password. Students must verify the details such as name, roll number, address, photograph, signature, exam centre details etc. mentioned in the admit card. AIIMS MBBS 2018 admit card must be carried to exam centre for verification.
AIIMS MBBS an online examination contains 200 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge/Aptitude. The maximum time allotted to complete the test is three hours thirty minutes. Each question contains one mark and one-third mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The syllabus of AIIMS MBBS 2018 consists of questions based on class 11 and 12. The exam will include the questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The exam will also contain 20 questions from General Knowledge and Aptitude, therefore, candidates are advised to read the newspapers on daily basis.
AIIMS, New Delhi does not publish any official sample paper of AIIMS MBBS. However, aspirants can practice from the sample papers prepared by various coaching institutes. AIIMS MBBS 2018 sample papers include the topics which will be covered in entrance exam. Candidates can also get an idea of exam pattern and marking scheme by solving AIIMS MBBS sample papers.
AIIMS MBBS 2018 is to be held in online mode, therefore, no official answer key will be published by AIIMS, New Delhi. Applicants can use AIIMS MBBS answer key prepared by various coaching institutes. The answer key includes the solutions to the questions asked in entrance test. Aspirants can match their answers with the given solutions in the answer key. Using AIIMS MBBS 2018 answer key, candidates can calculate their expected score secured in entrance examination.
The result of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be declared on June 18. AIIMS MBBS result will be released in form of PDFs rank-wise list and roll number list. It will display candidates roll number, overall rank, category, subject-wise and total percentile. AIIMS MBBS 2018 result will be announced only for those candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying percentile in entrance exam.
AIIMS MBBS cutoff 2018 is the minimum scores which must be secured by candidates to qualify the entrance test. As per the previous year information brochure, general category candidates have to secure 50% in AIIMS MBBS 2018, while, candidates belonging to SC and ST categories must obtain 40%. As the exam will be conducted in two shifts, the cutoff will be determined on the basis of percentiles. The normalisation procedure will be followed to calculate the AIIMS MBBS result. AIIMS, New Delhi will publish the merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2018 along with the result on June 18. It will be prepared by the examination authority as per the candidates scores in the entrance exam. AIIMS MBBS merit list will include All India Rank, roll number, category, subject-wise percentile and overall percentile. AIIMS, New Delhi will start offline AIIMS MBBS counselling 2018 from July 3. Candidates who qualify entrance test will be called for AIIMS MBBS counselling. The round 1 of counselling will begin from July 3 to 6. Candidates who will be listed in rank-wise and roll-number wise result have to download AIIMS MBBS 2018 counselling call letter. Eligible applicants have to report at prescribed counselling venue as per the specified schedule. Candidates will be allotted seats as per their merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and availability of seats. If the seats are left vacant after round 1, the second round of counselling will also be held in July. AIIMS MBBS counselling is the basis for admission to MBBS seats offered by AIIMS, New Delhi and other eight AIIMS institutes.
