AIIMS PG 2017 CutoffAIIMS PG 2017 Cutoff –  All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi selected candidates on the basis of AIIMS PG cutoff scores. Aspirants who secured more than AIIMS PG 2017 cutoff were considered qualified in the entrance test. AIIMS PG cutoff 2017 for all categories is 50 percentile. AIIMS PG cutoff score was released along with the result on May 13, 2017. On the basis of AIIMS PG cutoff, the authority determined the percentile scores secured. This percentile score was used for preparing AIIMS PG merit list. The cutoff of AIIMS PG 2017 was affected by the number of candidates appeared in the entrance examination, difficulty level of the exam, availability of seats and others. AIIMS PG result was announced for the candidates who secured the minimum qualifying percentile. Only aspirants who qualified the test were called for the counselling process. If the candidate has completed the MBBS/BDS Degree from AIIMS, New Delhi, he/she will be given preference against the 50% of total MD/MS/MDS seats under open general category. If any seat remains vacant in or any other reserved category, it will be offered to general category candidate in the order of the merit list.

Reservation in AIIMS PG Below are the seats reserved for the different categories under AIIMS PG

  • General + sponsored candidates – 25.25%
  • Candidates passed from AIIMS MBBS - 50%
  • OBC Candidates – 27%
  • ST Candidates – 7.5%
  • SC Candidates – 15%

Tie Breaking Method of AIIMS PG 2017 Cutoff

When the marks secured by two or more than two candidates are equal, the conducting body will have to break the tie. Below are the measures adopted to break the tie in AIIMS PG.

  • The Candidate who secured higher aggregate marks in all the MBBS/BDS Exam will be given preference.
  • Even after the implementation of above measure, there remains a tie the older candidate shall get preference
