Preference to AIIMS graduates

If the candidate has completed the MBBS/BDS Degree from AIIMS, New Delhi, he/she will be given preference against the 50% of total MD/MS/MDS seats under open general category. If any seat remains vacant in or any other reserved category, it will be offered to general category candidate in the order of the merit list.

Reservation in AIIMS PG

Below are the seats reserved for the different categories under AIIMS PG

  • General + sponsored candidates – 25.25%
  • Candidates passed from AIIMS MBBS – 50%
  • OBC Candidates – 27%
  • ST Candidates – 7.5%
  • SC Candidates – 15%

Tie Breaking Method of AIIMS PG 2017 Cutoff

When the marks secured by two or more than two candidates are equal, the conducting body will have to break the tie. Below are the measures adopted to break the tie in AIIMS PG 2017.

  • The Candidate who secured higher aggregate marks in all the MBBS/BDS Exam will be given preference.
  • Even after the implementation of above measure, there remains a tie the older candidate shall get preference
