NEET PG 2018NEET PG 2018National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts NEET PG, a national level entrance exam, for admission to post-graduate medical courses. As per the order of Supreme Court of India, NEET PG 2018 is the single online entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS/PG diploma courses offered in government as well as private medical and dental colleges of India. The NEET PG application form will be available in September 2017. All the candidates who have qualified in MBBS are eligible to apply for post graduation entrance test. NEET PG will be held at around 86 exam centres across India. NEET PG 2018 online entrance test is to be held in multiple slots. Candidates belonging to respective categories must secure prescribed cutoff marks to qualify NEET PG. The result will be announced in the month of January. On the basis of scores, a merit list of NEET PG 2018 will be prepared. As per the rank, NEET PG counselling 2018 will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), for 50% All India Quota seats reserved from all government medical and dental colleges of India. The remaining 50% state quota seats will be filled through common counselling conducted by designated authority of respective states. NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2018

Candidates who wish to apply for NEET PG 2018 must go through the eligibility conditions set by the authority. Check important NEET PG eligibility criteria 2018 which must be fulfilled by the candidates below.

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • A candidate must have passed MBBS degree and should also have provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC)
  • Candidates should have completed one year mandatory rotating internship on or before March 31, 2018

Candidates who will not be eligible

  • The candidates who are completing their internship or likely to complete after March 31, 2018, will not be eligible to apply for NEET PG
  • Candidates who will not have permanent registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) will not be allowed to register

NEET PG Application Form 2018

The application form of NEET PG 2018 will be available in online mode in September 2017. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the NEET PG application form 2018. The registration fee must be paid in online mode through credit/debit card or net banking. The procedure of application form of NEET PG include – creating a profile, filling of application form, schedule of exam and payment of registration.

The general and OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs. 3750 as application fee, whereas, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD candidates have to deposit Rs. 2750. Candidates must keep the payment information ready while scheduling the exam. The payment should be done within 30 minutes to reserve the seat and time of examination. In case, a candidate fails to do so, he/she have to register again and the selected date and time will be cancelled.

NEET PG Exam Centres 2018

The exam centres of NEET 2018 are the list of cities in which the online entrance examination will be held. In the previous year, online exam was held at 86 exam centres in 41 cities. Candidates have to choose the preferred NEET PG 2018 exam centres as per their convenience while filling the applicaton form. The choice of NEET PG exam centres 2018 will be done on the basis of first come first serve basis. Along with it, candidates also have to select the day and slot of NEET PG 2018.

NEET PG Admit Card 2018

The candidates who will register before the last date, will receive the admit card of NEET PG 2018 within 24 hours on their registered mail ID. The registered candidates can also download NEET PG admit card 2018 by logging in entering their username and password. Candidates have to paste their passport size photograph on the printed copy of NEET PG 2018 admit card. The admit card must be carried by candidates to the exam centre for verification purpose. Along with the admit card, candidates must carry any of the following valid Photo ID:

  • Voter ID
  • Driving license
  • Aadhaar card

NEET PG Exam Pattern 2018

NEET PG 2018 is to be held in online mode in multiple slots as per the syllabus prescribed by conducting authority. The online exam will contain 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The time to be allotted for completing entrance exam will be 03 hours 30 minutes. Candidates can check NEET PG exam pattern from the table below.

NEET PG Syllabus 2018

The syllabus of NEET PG 2018 consist of all the subjects/knowledge areas studied in MBBS and BDS programme. NEET PG syllabus 2018 comprise of subjects as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India.

NEET PG Result 2018

The result of NEET PG 2018 will be announced in the month of January by NBE. NEET PG 2018 result will be announced only for the candidates who will secure minimum qualifying marks in online entrance examination. To download score card of NEET PG 2018, candidates must enter their testing ID, date of birth and captcha code in the required space. NEET PG result 2018 displays the names of candidates, score obtained (out of 1500), rank, qualifying status etc.

NEET PG Cutoff 2018

The cutoff of NEET PG 2018 is the minimum marks that a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. NEET PG 2018 cutoff depends on various factors such as number of candidates appeared for exam, availability of seats, difficulty level of entrance test etc.

As per the officials, the candidates belonging to general category must secure minimum of 50th percentile to qualify the exam. Whereas, candidates from respective category and PH category must secure a minimum of 40th and 45th percentile, respectively.

NEET PG 2018 Qualifying Cutoff

Note: In the year 2017, the conducting authority, NBE released pre-revised minimum qualifying marks for admission to PG courses for candidates of all categories. As per the previous year brochure, if the number of candidates in the respective categories fail to secure the cutoff marks, the Central Government with consultation of Medical Council of India, will lower the cutoff marks.

NEET PG Merit List 2018

The merit list of NEET PG 2018 will be published based on the scores of candidates in entrance exam. NBE will release four types of NEET PG merit list which includes the names of candidates called for counselling. The merit list will display rank of candidates, names, score, category etc.

NEET PG Counselling 2018

The counselling of NEET PG 2018 will begin from February, by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The counselling will be held in online mode for the candidates who will be selected under 50% All India quota seats. All the applicants who have qualified in NEET PG 2018 and listed in the merit list will have to register online for NEET PG counselling 2018. Such candidates also have to select their preferences of courses and colleges. As per the merit rank, preferences of colleges and courses and availability of seats, the final seat allotment result will be published. Once the seat allotment is done, the eligible candidates must report at their allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees.

The counselling for 50% state quota seats will be conducted by designated admission committee of respective states. The eligible candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank in the merit list, choices filled and seats available. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to report at college for document verification, completion of admission process and payment of fees.
