Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 – The admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered in all medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu to be done on the basis of NEET 2017 score. Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list has been released on August 23. The registration for Tamil Nadu MBBS admission has started from June 27, 2017. The eligible candidates who wish to pursue MBBS and BDS courses must fill and submit Tamil Nadu MBBS application form before July 07, 2017. The admission of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 is to be organised by the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 is to be held for admission to all and dental programmes offered in the State medical and dental colleges whether established by the central government, state government, university, deemed university, trust, society, company, minority institutions or corporation. According to Medical Council of India (MCI), around 6000 MBBS and thousands of BDS seats available in government as well private medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu. Among all the seats in government medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu, 15% are reserved for All India Quota (AIQ) and to be filled through NEET 2017 score. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 for 15% all India quota and Deemed University seats to be done by online counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The 85% state quota seats in state government medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu to be filled through counselling conducted by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu. The counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS will commence from July 17, 2017. Earlier, Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission was done on the basis of 10+2/HSC marks but from 2017 academic session admission to MBBS and BDS seats in Tamil Nadu to be filled only through NEET score.

The application form of Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 admission is available on June 27. Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 Admission Form can be obtained from any of the notified medical/dental colleges. To collect Tamil Nadu MBBS application form 2017 for admission in government medical colleges, candidates have to pay Rs. 500, in form Demand Draft, in favour of Secretary Selection Committee payable at Chennai. To participate in Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 admission process candidates have to send filled in Tamil Nadu Medical application form 2017 along with requisite documents and demand draft (for application fee) to the address mentioned below. It must be noted that candidates should submit only one application form for both MBBS and BDS courses otherwise their candidature will be summarily rejected. The candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST categories are exempted from the payment of fees from applying to Government colleges and Government Quota in self-financing colleges.

Nationality: Candidate should be a Citizen of India. Overseas Citizens of India who are registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act,1955
Domicile: Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu
Age Limit: Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before December 31, 2017. Evidence should be produced.
Education Qualification: Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board /any other equivalent Board in one and the same attempt ( Single Sitting ) in the following group of subjects with the minimum eligible marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Biology with any other subject.

The merit list of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 has been released on August 23, by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list has been prepared on the basis of NEET score. The Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 merit list will be prepared for only those candidates who had appeared in NEET. The merit list displays candidate’s name, state rank, NEET 2017 roll number, etc. Based on the merit list candidates will be allowed to participate in counselling for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 will be conducted in online mode by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. The Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 counselling will be held in two rounds. As per the order of the Supreme Court, TN MBBS counselling must be finished before September 4. Candidates who will be included in merit list have to fill their choices of colleges and course for Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling 2017. Such candidates have to attend the counselling on the specified date and time. All the relevant documents and authorization letter must be carried by to counselling venue for documents verification. According to officials, the counselling will be conducted only in 2 rounds and candidates will not be allowed to leave their allotted seats after the second round. The counselling of Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 will be the basis for allotment of all MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical and dental colleges of located in the state.

- If any seats left after the second round of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 counselling, it will be forwarded to the concerned colleges and they will filled the vacant seats through open counselling as per the merit list provided to them by counselling committees
