JIPMER MBBSJIPMER MBBS 2018: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has released the admit card of JIPMER MBBS 2018 on May 21. The admit card will be available till the day of the exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 3, 2018. The online application form was released on March 7, 2018 and ended on April 13, 2018. Aspirants whose application forms have been successfully accepted by the conducting body will be able to download the admit card. Applicants who have cleared Class 12 or any equivalent examination from a recognised university/board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio Technology as their primary subjects were eligible to fill the application form. JIPMER MBBS 2018 is scheduled to be administered on June 3 to grant admission to candidates to the institute's Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. The entrance test of JIPMER MBBS 2018 will be held in the computer-based mode, comprising 200 objective type questions covering the syllabus that students studied in Class 11 and 12. To qualify the examination and stand eligible to get admission to JIPMER, students have to attain the minimum qualifying percentile, also known as the qualifying cutoff. Following the declaration of the result of JIPMER MBBS 2018 on or before June 20, candidates who successfully secure more than or equal to the qualifying cutoff will be called to participate in the counselling sessions. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

As mentioned earlier, in order to be eligible for JIPMER MBBS aspirants have to pass Std 12 or any equivalent examination in prescribed subjects. Check the basic JIPMER MBBS eligibility criteria 2018 below:

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have cleared class 12 from any recognised state/central board or equivalent examination from any recognised university/board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio Technology as core subjects.
  • Minimum marks: General category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio Technology. Physically handicapped candidates from general category must obtain 45% while SC/ST/OBC/PH students must score 40% in Class 12.
  • Age: Aspirants must be 17 years old or should be the same on or before December 31, 2018. It means candidates should have been born on or before January 01, 2002. There is no upper age limit in JIPMER MBBS eligibility criteria 2018.

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Counselling

The counselling of JIPMER MBBS 2018 is scheduled to begin from June 27 and the process should conclude by June 29. JIPMER MBBS counselling will be held offline in three rounds. The total number of candidates called for JIPMER MBBS counselling will be 10 times more than the number of seats available for each category. Aspirants must download JIPMER MBBS counselling call letter as per the specified schedule. All eligible candidates must report at the counselling venue as per the rank and schedule mentioned in the call letter. It is mandatory for applicants to be present in person during JIPMER MBBS counselling rounds. Before the allotment of seats, applicants will be registered through biometric and image verifications. Students will be granted admission as per the merit rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and availability of seats. Aspirants must carry the required original documents along with self-attested photocopies of the same.


JIPMER MBBS 2018 Seat Allotment

After the registration for counselling, candidates will be called for JIPMER MBBS seat allotment process. During the process of JIPMER MBBS 2018 seat allotment, seats will first be allotted to candidates belonging to General and OPH categories. Seats will be allotted to OPH candidates on the basis of merit position irrespective of the categories they belong to. Aspirants belonging to other reserved categories (ST, SC, OBC) will also be called for the counselling round on the basis of their merits and seats will be allocated accordingly. If seats remain vacant after round 1 of JIPMER MBBS seat allotment, the authority will conduct round 2.
