JIPMER MBBS 2018: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry conducts JIPMER MBBS for admission to Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. The online entrance test is to be held on June 3, 2018, while the application form of JIPMER MBBS will be available on March 7, 2018. Applicants who have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised university/board are eligible to appear for the entrance test. JIPMER MBBS 2018 will be held on two shifts: morning and afternoon. Last year, approximately 1, 89,663 students registered and 1, 49,369 applicants appeared for the test. Through JIPMER MBBS 2018, aspirants will be granted admission 150 MBBS seats in Puducherry and 50 seats in Karaikal campuses.

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Aspirants must be 17 years old as or on December 31, 2018. It means candidates should have born on or before January 01, 2002. There is no upper age limit.

  • Minimum marks: General category candidates must secure minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology. The physically handicapped candidates from general category must obtain 45%, while SC/ST/OBC/PH aspirants must score 40% in class 12.

The exam centres of JIPMER MBBS 2018 are the venue in different cities where examination will be held. Last year the exam was held in around 75 cities all over India. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Counselling

The counselling of JIPMER MBBS 2018 is expected to commence from July. JIPMER MBBS counselling will be held offline in three rounds. The total number of candidates called for JIPMER MBBS counselling will be 10 times than the availability of seats for each category. Aspirants must download JIPMER MBBS counselling call letter as per the specified schedule. All the eligible candidates must report at counselling venue as per the rank and schedule mentioned in call letter. It is mandatory for applicants to be present in person during JIPMER MBBS counselling sessions. Before the allotment of seats, applicants will be registered through biometric and image verifications. After the registration for counselling, candidates will be called for JIPMER MBBS seat allotment process. During the process of JIPMER MBBS 2018 seat allotment, the seats will be first filled by General and OPH categories, which includes the aspirants belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. Thereafter, the respective reserved category candidates will be called for seat allotment.
