JIPMER PG 2018 for January session was held on November 19, 2017

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has conducted JIPMER PG 2018 for January session on November 19, 2017. JIPMER PG is an online entrance examination conducted for admission to 90 MD/MS courses offered by JIPMER, Puducherry. The entrance test was held in 10 JIPMER PG exam centres from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm. The result of JIPMER PG 2018 will be declared on or before November 30, 2017, in the form of merit list. JIPMER PG 2018 exam for MD/MS courses consists of 250 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Basic Clinical sciences and Clinical sciences subjects taught in MBBS programme. As per the marking scheme, every correct answer carries 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

JIPMER PG result 2018 is to be announced on or before November 30, 2017, in the form of merit list. JIPMER PG result displays candidates' name, total percentile and All India Rank (AIR) securede by aspirants appeared in JIPMER PG 2018. Following the marking scheme, the marks will be calculated to prepare the percentile scores. Students securng JIPMER PG cutoff percentile will be considered qualified in the entrance test. General category aspirants must secure 50 percentile, whereas SC/ST/OBC candidates must secure 40 percentie to secure the entrance test. 

All eligible candidates included in the merit list will be called for JIPMER PG counselling 2018. The counselling will be organised in three rounds. The first round of JIPMER PG counselling will begin from December 13, 2017. To participate in counselling process, candidates will be called as per the reservation roster point at JIPMER Puducherry campus. Aspirants must carry the list of relevant documents for verification purpose. The seat allotment process for postgraduate medical courses will be done to eligible aspirants as per their All India Rank, preferences of courses and seats available. The second round of counselling will be held on January 17, 2018.
