NEET PG 2018 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the merit list of NEET PG 2018 on February 15. It has already declared the result of the entrance test on January 23. NEET PG merit list 2018 has the names of only those candidates who achieved minimum qualifying percentile in the entrance test that was conducted on January 7. The conducting authority has released the merit list of postgraduate entrance exam after applying the tie-breaking policy. Through the merit list of NEET PG 2018, NBE will conduct admission to around 35,000 seats in Masters in Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes taught at various medical colleges across India. NBE has also released the NEET PG 2018 cutoff to shortlist eligible aspirants for admission to postgraduate medical courses. General category candidates must secure 50 percentile to qualify the exam. Based on the cutoff of NEET PG 2018, the authority has published the merit list for admission to 50% All India Quota seats. Moreover, state authorities will also use NEET PG cutoff for preparing state merit list for seat allotment in both government and private medical colleges. NEET PG 2018 was conducted in a single session and had a total of 300 multiple choice questions. The overall duration of the test was 3 hours and 30 minutes. It was held for a total of 1200 marks. 4 marks were awarded for answering each correct question and 1 mark deducted from the candidate's overall score for each incorrect answer. Aspirants securing minimum cutoff score for All India Quota seats will be called for NEET PG 2018 counselling process for admission to around 6200 MD/MS seats. NBE announced NEET PG 2018 result on January 23, 2018. The result has been announced only for candidates who secured minimum qualifying marks in the online entrance examination. To download score card of NEET PG 2018, candidates must enter their testing ID, date of birth and security pin in the required space. NEET PG result 2018 displays the names of candidates score obtained (out of 1200), rank, qualifying status etc. The hardcopy of NEET PG result will not be sent to candidates.
The cutoff of NEET PG 2018 is the minimum marks that a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. NEET PG 2018 cutoff depends on various factors such as number of candidates who appeared in the exam, availability of seats, the difficulty level of entrance test etc. As per the officials, the candidates belonging to general category must secure minimum of 50 percentile to qualify the exam. Whereas, candidates from reserved category and PH category must secure a minimum of 40 and 45 percentile, respectively.

Candidates who will not be eligible
NBE has released NEET PG application form 2018 online. This year, aspirants must fill their Aadhaar card details in the application form of NEET PG 2018. The candidates who don’t have an Aadhaar card must enrol for the same and enter the enrollment ID number while filling the application form. The exam centres of NEET 2018 is the venue of examination in various cities where the online entrance examination will be held. NBE has finalised 128 NEET PG exam centres for conducting the entrance examination. Candidates have to choose the preferred NEET PG 2018 exam centres as per their convenience while filling the application form. The choice of NEET PG exam centres 2018 will be done on the basis of first come first serve basis. Along with it, candidates also have to select the day and slot of NEET PG 2018. Candidates who have registered can download NEET PG admit card 2018 from January 1. Aspirants need to enter candidate ID, password and captcha code. Candidates have to paste their passport size photograph on the printed copy of NEET PG 2018 admit card as per the specifications. The test was be held on a computer-based platform in a single session. A negative marking scheme has been introduced for the NEET PG 2018 session i.e. for each incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted. The syllabus of NEET PG 2018 consist of all the subjects/knowledge areas studied in MBBS and BDS programme. NEET PG syllabus 2018 comprise of subjects as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India. As the entrance test was held in online mode, therefore, no official sample papers of NEET PG is published. Due to non-disclosure agreement of NEET PG, candidates are not allowed to publish or transmit any content of the test in any form or by any means. NBE does not publish NEET PG answer key, as the exam has been conducted in online mode. As per the non-disclosure agreement mentioned above, no candidate can share any question by any means. Candidates can match their answers with the solutions in NEET PG answer key 2018 to calculate their approximate marks secured in the test using the exam pattern. The counselling of NEET PG 2018 will begin from February, by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The counselling will be held in online mode for the candidates who will be selected under 50% All India quota seats. All the applicants who have qualified in NEET PG 2018 and listed in the merit list will have to register online for NEET PG counselling 2018. Such candidates also have to select their preferences of courses and colleges. As per the merit rank, preferences of colleges and courses and availability of seats, the final seat allotment result will be published. Once the seat allotment is done, the eligible candidates must report at their allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees.
The counselling for remaining 50% state quota seats will be conducted by designated admission committee of respective states. The eligible candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank in the merit list, choices filled and seats available. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to report to college for document verification, completion of admission process and payment of fees.
The seat allotment of NEET PG 2018 will commence after the registration of counselling in February 2018. Once the candidates shortlisted for 50% All India Quota seats are registered, the MCC will begin NEET PG seat allotment. After the process of allotment, the result of NEET PG 2018 seat allotment will be announced. As per the All India Rank, preferences of colleges & courses and seat availability, the admission will be granted to aspirants. In case if there are any vacant seats left after round 1, the authority will organise the second round of NEET PG seat allotment. After the allotment of seats, candidates have to report at allotted institutes for verification of documents and completion of admission process.
