JIPMER PG 2017 to be Held Today


The postgraduate medical entrance examination of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research will be conducted today. The examination for admissions into the January session of JIPMER PG 2017 will be held in online mode from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.

The admission committee of JIPMER will be conducting the online entrance examination for admissions into the various MD/MS courses offered by JIPMER. The exam, which will be held from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon, will consist of 250 Multiple Choice Questions with 4 marks being allotted for each correct answer and 1 Mark being deducted for each negative response. The syllabus of the examination will be the subjects taught during the undergraduate degree (MBBS).

JIPMER will also be conducting the entrance examination for the courses of D.M and M.Ch today. The examination will also be online based and will also be held today from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The duration of the entrance exam for admissions into the D.M and M.Ch courses of JIPMER will only be 1 hour 30 minutes long. All of the 100 questions will be Multiple Choice type and each correct answer will be allotted 4 marks while each incorrect answer will deduct one mark.

The result of JIPMER PG 2017 for the January session will be released tentatively before December 18, 2016. The result will also be released in online mode by the conducting authorities. Those applicants who are successful in securing the minimum qualifying marks or percentile in the entrance examination will be listed in the result. Based on the result, a merit list will be prepared by the conducting authorities. The ranking in the merit list will decide the admission status of the applicants. Counselling will be held by the Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education & Research for allocation of the available postgraduate seats to all qualified applicants.
