The result of Bihar Board Class 10th exams has been announced on June 22, 2017. The result was declared by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) at 1 pm. Prem Kumar from Lakhisarai district has topped the exam with 93% marks. Prem has scored 465 marks out of 500. The overall pass percentage is 50.12%. As per the reports, most of the toppers are from Simultala School which is located in Jamui District of Bihar.
Bihar Class 10th Result 2017 – Highlights
8,63,250 out of 17,23,911 students have passed the exam. The overall pass percentage is 50.12%.
Percentage of candidates passed with –
- First division – 13.91%,
- Second division – 26.88%
- Third division – 9.32%
51% male students and more than 40% female students have passed the exams.
Bihar Board 10th Result 2017 – Toppers
Prem Kumar from Lakhisarai District has emerged as the topper of Bihar Class 10th exam. Bhavya Kumari and Harshita Kumar are at the second and third place respectively. Check the below table for more details on Bihar board 10th class toppers –

It must be noted that from this year onwards, BSEB has decided to give 8 grace marks to the students. This has been done to improve the pass percentages. 8 grace marks have been awarded to the candidates who failed in one subject and 4 grace marks have been awarded to the students who failed in two subjects.
This year, Bihar Board result was postponed due to several reasons. The exams were held from Mar 5 to Mar 12, 2017. The Board results of other states have already been declared.
