Stages of IFS Result 2016

The Indian Forest Services Recruitment process 2016 consists of three stage selection procedure i.e. Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The result will be declared stage wise by UPSC. The Result of Preliminary Exam was announced on September 16, 2016 and the qualified candidates were eligible for Mains Exam. Read all details of IFS Result 2016 for each stage as given below.

Preliminary Exam: Aspirants of Indian Forest Services have to appear first for the preliminary examination. The prelims are treated only as a screening test for the candidates. Prelims of IAS is the same as Civil Services. The IFS Result 2016 for the preliminary examination was announced by UPSC on September 16, 2016.

Mains Exam: All the candidates who qualified in the preliminary examination were shortlisted to appear for the mains examination of IFS 2016. The result for Mains examination has been announced on February 2, 2017 and the qualifying candidates will be eligible to appear for personality test/interview. The link to check the IFS Result 2016 has been made available on this page as soon as it is made available by UPSC. The IFS mains exam was conducted from November 12-23, 2016.

Final Result: UPSC will announce the final result of IFS 2016 on the basis of Marks scored by candidates in the mains examination and personality test/interview. The candidates scoring the highest marks will be qualified as the IFS 2016 topper. The Personality Test for IFS is scheduled to be conducted from February 27, 2017

Features of IFS Result 2016

  • The preliminary exam is meant to serve as a screening test to filter the eligible candidates out of the huge lot.
  • The marks scored in the preliminary examination will not be considered during the preparation of final merit list.
  • The mark sheet for all the stages of IFS 2016 will be made available by UPSC only after the final result has been declared.
  • The final result will consist of marks scored in the written exam, personality test/interview and the fianl marks (Mains Exam + Interview)
