The Examination will be held in only one paper on each day from 10.00 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. (3 hours and 15 minutes time are allotted both for reading question paper and writing answer) except Health & Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music and Vocational Subjects.

Note: #The Examination of these subjects will be of two hours duration.

Statistical Analysis of West Bengal Board Higher Secondary Result

The following table shows the overall pass percentage of the West Bengal Board Inter Result, girls’ and boys’ pass percentages and the number of students appeared for the exam. The table given below reveals that the overall pass percentage increased in 2015, but dipped in 2016 and again increased in 2017. Such a fluctuation was there in the cases of boys' and girls' pass percentages also. The boys have been outperforming their girls counterparts, consistently. The total no. of students appeared in the exam declined comprehensively in 2015, but it increased massively in 2016; however, in 2017, it dipped again.

About the West Bengal Board Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

Constituted in 1975, the main function of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is to pave the way for promotion and development of the higher secondary education in the state of West Bengal. It also conducts the exams of Class 12th (Higher Secondary). The main function of the Board is to prescribe the syllabus and recommend the rules and design courses and textbooks. Besides, the Board regulates a total of 4,300 schools, which are affiliated with it. The Board issues the date sheet a couple of month before conducting the higher secondary exam.
